For me, boating has always been about more than just the boats themselves — it’s about the lifestyle, the community, and the experiences made on the water. Helping others enjoy that experience is one of the most rewarding parts of being a yacht broker. My wife, Linda, and I are California natives and live in the Pacific Northwest just outside Seattle in the beautiful enclave of Tapps Island. We enjoy golfing at our home course, boating on the surrounding lake and sharing our passion for life on the water with others. Whether someone is purchasing their first boat or moving into their next yacht, I enjoy helping clients find the right fit for their lifestyle and goals.
As a licensed and bonded yacht and ship broker, and a member of the California Yacht Brokers Association, Northwest Yacht Brokers Association, and International Yacht Brokers Association, I represent both buyers and sellers with a strong focus on professionalism, communication, and long-term relationships. I bring a lifetime of boating experience along with more than 30 years of negotiation and business experience to every transaction.
I believe in being accessible and responsive throughout the process. Buying or selling a yacht can involve many moving parts, and I work hard to make the experience smooth, straightforward, and enjoyable. I also offer on-the-water orientation and training upon request because helping clients feel comfortable and confident operating their vessel is important to me. All experience levels are welcome.
Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of transactions including out-of-state sales and purchases, yacht transport, offshore deliveries, LLC transfers, and coordinating financing, insurance, captains, crew, moorage, maintenance, and repair services. My goal is to be a trusted resource not only during the sale, but long after the transaction is complete.
I regularly attend major boat shows throughout the country, including Seattle, Miami, Palm Beach, San Diego, Newport Beach, and Fort Lauderdale. Attending these events allows me to stay current on the latest yacht models, market trends, and pre-owned inventory nationwide while also personally touring and inspecting many of the vessels available. If a client is unable to attend a show in person, I’m happy to provide insight, photos, videos, and honest feedback on boats they may be considering.
When we are not on the water or working with clients, Linda and I enjoy spending time exploring all of Washington and enjoying our garden, our lake and our neighborhood. We also enjoy being involved in our local boating and golf communities and supporting charitable and community events throughout the year.
